John Mayer Reveals Skin Care Routine In Hilarious Snapchat — Watch His First Beauty Vlog

Step aside, Kylie Jenner! John Mayer is officially the beauty vlogger we never knew we needed. The singer turned to Snapchat to let fans in on his highly sought after skin care secrets, and it’s kind of amazing. Click ahead to watch John’s beauty vlog and prepare to LOL!

 

 

 

 

 

 

How does John Mayer stay so ageless? According to the 38-year-old, if you’ve been wondering about his skin care secrets, you’re not alone. Finally giving fans the how-to on his fresh-faced glow, John took to his Snapchat to document his nightly skin care regimen.

In his first beauty vlog, simply titled, Skin Care Secrets With John, the singer starts off by washing his face with Proactiv — seems legit. Then John gets into his moisturizing and anti-aging routine, and that’s where his techniques take a turn towards the bizarre. Starting with a moisturizer from Natura Bissé John schools his fans on his “D.A.T. (Direct Application Technique)” as he pumps the moisturizer directly onto his face. “Applying skin lotion to your hands and then rubbing it into your face gets a lot of lotion stuck in the creases of the fingers, and that’s expensive,” he explains.

Next, he takes his eye cream and applies that all over his face, too, revealing, “Eye concentrate is really just better facial moisturizer, but more expensive and in smaller bottles.” And to tackle stubborn laugh lines, John developed the “Offset Smiley” technique, applying the lotion in a smiley face shape below his nose and down to his chin.
Saving his most important (and expensive!) step for last, John broke out his Natura Bissé Diamond Extreme, $345, applying it to all of the “crucial necessity zones.” For anyone confused by the dots of lotion all over his face, John explained the technique, saying, “These are pre-designated areas I need moisture the most.” Using a Q-tip, John spent the next two hours slowly and expertly working the cream into his skin before setting in the moisture with a facial mist.
John isn’t the only male celebrity to get in on the glowing skin. Justin Bieber has shared his love for face masks on several occasions, and our personal fave, Spencer Pratt, has even shared his beauty wisdom on Snapchat. Recently getting very real (and very relatable) about his skin care woes, Spencer snapped his struggle with acne, donning a face mask while he prayed, “God please clear our skin [and] get rid of all our zits!” Amen.
